The former India wicketkeeper is reportedly asymptomatic and has been isolated from the rest of the MI contingent. Mumbai Indians released a statement that read: Earlier today, reports emerged that two more ground staff and one plumber at the Wankhede Stadium had tested positive for the coronavirus. Among the players involved in the IPL, Axar Patel, Devdutt Padikkal and Nitish Rana have already contracted the virus. Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Rana has made a full recovery and has joined KKR’s team after testing negative....

Not many runs were scored in the game as the Royal Challengers Bangalore got skittled out for just 92 runs. Only one batsman - Devdutt Padikkal - managed to cross the 20-run mark from the RCB. In reply, a brilliant opening stand between Venkatesh Iyer and Shubman Gill guided KKR home. There were no changes in the Top 10 of the IPL 2021 Orange Cap leaderboard. There was no change at the top of the Purple Cap list either as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Harshal Patel sits pretty with 15 wickets at a phenomenal strike-rate of 8.00 to his name. SRH opener Jonny Bairstow moved up to 4th in the IPL 2021 Orange Cap list after smashing a quickfire 38 off 18 balls. The only other DC batsman in the top 10 is Prithvi Shaw, who stroked a 39-ball 53 versus SRH....

KXIP have one of the most star-studded squads in this IPL. However, if history is anything to go by, there have been numerous occasions where teams, with the biggest of names, have not been able to have an impact in the IPL. With a question mark over the forms of some big guns like Yuvraj Singh, Chris Gayle, R Ashwin and David Miller, Kings XI Punjab cannot afford to be too reliant on them....

Playing the IPL finals is not something new for the two sides as Chennai has played in the finals seven times, while Mumbai has played four finals in the past editions. Interestingly, these two will meet in the finals for the fourth time. Mumbai has usually dominated CSK in IPL history. Kings XI Punjab has the largest purse of ₹42.70 crores available with them, followed by Kolkata Knight Riders (₹35.65 crores) and Rajasthan Royals (₹28.90 crores) heading into the auction. The top-ranked teams of last year have opted to keep association with their former players to give continuity in the upcoming season. A total of 71 players got released by eight franchises before the deadline. Some of the releases raised eyebrows among the cricket fans as they were an integral part of their former sides....

However, in the recent past, the world has witnessed the emergence of various leagues as each one of them aims to provide the same level of competitiveness even before a player makes it to the next level.
